Course Content
  • First class: no puppies. Education on various puppy-raising issues including socialisation/habituation, toilet training, sterilisation, chewing, alone time training, dogs that jump up on people and what to expect when your pup becomes an adolescent.
  • Training exercises include: sit, down, loose-lead walking, recall, leave and swap exercises (prevention of resource guarding) and bite inhibition. We focus strongly on mental stimulation and share a variety of easy ways to stimulate your dog which is great for the prevention of behaviour problems.
  • After each class we provide you with notes to help you remember what you have learned.
  • We offer assistance with specific problems you might be experiencing.
  • Other activities include: noise desensitisation, pass the puppy, an obstacle course and supervised free play. Everything happens at the puppy’s pace – no pup is forced to do anything he is not comfortable with.

Duration of Course: 6 sessions

App Number of pups in class:  Maximum 5 pups. Our classes are kept small and intimate to ensure that we are fully in control of what happens, but also to ensure individual help when needed - we don't you to disappear in a crowd.

Age of pups in class: Do join puppy school as soon as possible - but only two weeks after your pup has had his second set of vaccinations.

About Our School

We only use lure and reward/positive reinforcement training methods. This is not only the most efficient way of learning, but leaves you with a dog who enjoys working with you. Seeing your pup’s confidence growing as the weeks pass is massively rewarding!
And while dogs are our passion, we also consider it extremely important to educate the owners. We aim to give you a new understanding of how dogs think so you can leave our class knowing your best friend a little bit better.

Most of all – we have fun along the way! Few things are quite as relaxing as spending a Saturday afternoon with a group of puppies!
