ABOUT THE COURSES
Practical Sessions
Practical sessions for Modules 1 and 2 are conducted via Zoom. Starting from Module 3, students will shadow fully qualified canine behaviourists on a minimum of 10 consultations before conducting their own, leading to their qualification.
This course is highly comprehensive, drawing on over 20 years of professional experience in the canine behaviour field, as well as numerous specialized courses.
Curriculum Structure
The curriculum consists of three levels. Upon successful completion of Level 3, you will receive a Diploma as a Canine Behaviourist.
If you're not looking to become a fully qualified Canine Behaviourist but simply wish to broaden your knowledge and refine your skills, Levels 1 and 2 can be taken independently.
Payments are accepted in ZAR and other major currencies, based on the prevailing exchange rate at the time of payment. Payment plans of up to 6 months are available.
Time Period - 18 months
Pricing Structure
Level 1 - FREE
To fully understand adolescent and adult dogs, it is essential to have a solid foundation in puppy behaviour. Therefore, this comprehensive section is provided for free when booking both Level 1 and Level 2.
Levels 2 and 3 - R5020 per Level
To earn your Diploma as a Canine Behaviourist, you must successfully pass the theory and practical components of all three levels.
Enrollment is accepted year-round, except from 15th December to 15th January annually, to ensure you receive the personalized attention you deserve. No additional study materials are required.
The Levels
Level 1
At the end of each Theoretical section, there is a short quiz based on the content covered. Practical sessions are conducted via Zoom and scheduled for your convenience. After the practical sessions, students will be asked to submit a video (via WhatsApp) demonstrating four exercises and explaining to a 'client' how to execute them. These videos do not need to be of professional quality, but should demonstrate your ability to effectively communicate and instruct clients in the future.
Level 2
Level 2 begins as soon as Level 1 is completed arranged between us. After each theoretical phase, a quiz must be passed based on the content covered. Practical sessions are again conducted via Zoom. Following the practical sessions, students will need to submit a WhatsApp video demonstrating four different behaviour modifications and explaining them to a 'client'. These videos do not need to be of professional quality. Dates for practical sessions and completion will be provided upon registration.
Level 3
Level 3 commences once Module 2 is completed, with scheduling arranged directly with the student. After each theoretical phase, a quiz must be passed based on the content covered. Practical sessions, where students accompany a behaviourist on consultations, are scheduled with us. A minimum of 10 consultations is required, and attendance is compulsory for receiving the final diploma. After these practical sessions, students will conduct three consultations independently, providing reports and follow-up documentation.
For students studying outside of South Africa, the 10 consultations can be completed via Zoom.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU!
