Not only is it fun and interesting to find out what your dogs' own unique background is, it will let you know of any possible breed/genetic concern which could affect future health - help you find the best ways of entertaining your dog, and be an indication as to why he does the things he does.
Benji was a Shelter Dog and lived at Fallen Angels in the Cape and is estimated to be in the region of 2 years old. When Scotty was down in the Cape in Feb 17 doing a Shelter Course at Fallen Angels, she met Benj. With a face like that, how could it not be love at first sight - he had a new home!
Scotty says that Benji is full of beans, he loves life with a passion, and is pure joy. His walks and his balls, are his favourite things. He will happily chase anything he see's and will jump up onto any surface without hesitation (see the pictures of him jumping up onto a tree). As bouncy as he is, Scotty says he loves nothing more than a cuddle and being loved and will fall asleep in her arms. When lying quietly to be brushed, he can never get enough. Below are some pictures of Benji with his coat at different lengths and some more detail.
What may help identify him, is that his coat when long, was very soft, although very sparse, but since being trimmed has become coarser (but still soft) and is wavier. You will see in the pictures below the colour variation on his back looks like a saddle effect and consists of various shades of grey and beige/browns. He has the same colour variation on his ears and tail, which may (?) be a clue as to what breed makeup he is - Scotty also does not know and cannot wait to get the results!
