Scotty Valadao has been working full time in the canine profession since 2002, and gained accreditation from the Animal Behaviour Consultants of SA™ (ABC of SA™) in the canine section. She is a qualified Tellington TTouch Practitioner and has completed the courses below to further her knowledge and understanding of dogs and continues to study to learn more about them.
Her passion is sharing knowledge with dog owners, and to this end is the founder of the Friends of the Dog website, is a regular guest on the Leigh Bennie program on Radio 702 and is a contributor to animal related publications. Under the auspices of the ABC of SA™ she was instrumental in starting a free general newsletter to the general public giving them further knowledge on their pets. She also does workshops and rehabilitation work for rescue centers as often as possible.
She hosts regular workshops on canine behaviour and TTouch and has completed an in-depth survey into Storm Fear Phobia in dogs and although she works with all canine behaviour concerns, has a special interest in fear behaviour. She has also studied extensively in the Alternative Modalities that can be used to assist dogs and has further qualifications in same.
